BOM Seeing Stars – Turning Twenty

The blocks in this quilt were made a few years back as part of a Block of the Month (BOM) at Quilted Threads in Henniker, NH. Twelve months of making a large and small block from each design. The blocks sat in my quilting studio until this year, when I decided to assemble them into this quilt. The fabrics are very different – woven beauties of Japanese taupe. The background is an Essex linen. I splurged and took the quilt to Contoocook Quiltworks in Contoocook, NH to have it custom quilted on their longarm machine. Hester did a wonderful job of bringing the quilt to life.

Update: I displayed this quilt at the Newport Library Arts Center (LAC) during the SooNipi Quilter’s Guild quilt show in October of 2021. The quilt was purchased and 30% of the proceeds went to the LAC.
